Welcome to

Nancy’s Creative Counselling

A Warm and Supportive Place for Everyone

At Nancy’s Creative Counselling, I work with children, adolescents, and women, offering a supportive space to explore emotions, build confidence, and express feelings that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. For young people, this may include play, art, or imagination, while for women it may be conversation, meditation, or creative expression if they choose. What matters most is that each person feels safe, respected, and supported to find the pathway that feels right for them.

As a trauma-informed counsellor, I bring safety, choice, and care into every session, grounded in training, experience, and ongoing professional development.

“I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way, things I had no words for.”

- Georgia O’Keeffe

Feel welcome to contact me with any questions you may have, including about session costs. I offer free 30-minute introductory sessions, so we can gently explore whether I am the right fit for you or your child. Currently, I am able to offer immediate bookings, so support can begin as soon as you’re ready.

How Sessions Work

I provide a client-centred, child-led approach, using art, clay, and imaginative play to support emotional growth, self-expression, and healing for children, teenagers, and women. These sensory-based activities create a safe, empowering space to explore emotions, build resilience, and strengthen emotional regulation skills.

  • Child and client-led approach: Activities are personalised to each individual’s needs, ensuring they feel empowered and in control.

  • Sensory stimulation: Clay, art, and creative play engage multiple senses, supporting emotional regulation and self-awareness.

  • Creative expression: A way to express feelings that may be hard to put into words, developing emotional processing and healing.

  • Building resilience and confidence: Creative methods help build problem-solving skills, self-reflection, and confidence to cope with challenges like trauma, stress, or low self-esteem.

  • Support for all ages: Whether working with children, teenagers, or women, I provide a supportive environment to explore and strengthen emotional well-being.

This approach is especially helpful for those facing emotional regulation difficulties, sensory needs, trauma, life transitions, or self-esteem challenges.

Sessions are available in-person, by phone, video, or chat—whatever feels most comfortable for you.

The practice is set on a peaceful rural property, just a 5-minute drive from Palmwoods town. As it is based on a property, the less formal, relaxed environment provides a space where young people can feel at ease, understood, and supported, while adults can unwind and relax.

The space offers toys, games, crafts, paint, and clay, inviting children to have fun and express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment that feels like their own world. Adolescents and adults can experience a sense of calm and peace, with opportunities to connect with nature and take a mindful break from daily stress.
